General

In 2005, there are about 71,700 main line telephones and 80,300 mobile cellular phones in use on the islands. The US Virgin Islands has 22 radio broadcast stations (6 AM, 16 FM) and five television stations in 2006. TV channels include local ABC network WSVI TV 8 (Channel 8) and local NBC network WVGN TV 14 (Channel 11).

As of 1999, there were two internet service providers serving the islands, Choice Communications being the largest provider of internet access services. In 2008, there were 30,000 internet users on the islands.
